The wave 4 of the uses of Human HR described in the book HR from Outside in refers to the external factor that comprises of Human resources today. The six paradoxes are the challenges being faced by HR professionals and it is not clearly to how results can be achieved if not being watchful of the marketplace to be as efficient strategic partners for business success. The paradox of Business and people, for example, that having too much focus on the type of people for HR roles does not necessary mean credible business performance (Ulrich, Brockbank, Younger, & Ulrich, (2012). Management guru Tom Peters expresses his view that people are the best asset and should manage and only to become the best in the industry (Tom Peters, 2001). Looking to turn the complete face of the business according to trends of internal factors requires the understanding of the type of professionals that can make the experience productive to customers and to those invested in a company.
Acquiring human capital is relevant to the individuals and organization, anther paradox in the book, that is directly related to the search for the right talent of a staff with competent people within an organization. There is also a direct relationship with individual employee effectiveness when backed with HR honed into performance (Gurchiek, 2017). Finding the balance in business objectives and people involved is primary challenges takes consideration on the chemistry of teamwork which is not an easy task observations of other six paradoxes facing HR.
